New Spring Craft Beers from Carter Creek’s Brewery
Carter Creek is proud to announce the arrival of two new craft beer creations this spring. Hyebiscus Hefeweizen is a pleasure to admire and enjoy with its hues of red, pink and magenta. It’s a medium bodied hefeweizen with floral aromas and a slight banana note from the use of traditional hefeweizen yeast in the production. It also sports a light pink head with a flavor that is slightly tart and reminiscent of cranberry or pomegranate. Irish Red Ale is a traditional medium bodied Irish ale with a crisp dry finish. Brewed with an all-Irish malt bill featuring pale malt from the Malting Company of Ireland, its red color is derived from the roasted and caramel malts used and has a dry, bready note. It pairs nicely with the Irish specialties being offered for St. Patrick’s Day at the resort’s Old 290 Brewery & Restaurant.

St Patrick’s Day Specials at Old 290 Brewery & Restaurant
Thursday, March 17, through Sunday, March 20
Traditional Irish fare specials for St. Patrick’s Day are celebrated at Old 290 Brewery – comforting, satisfying and flavorful. They include Old Country Stout Braised Beef Stew with red potatoes, carrots, parsnips, celery root and English peas. The brewery’s suggested pairing is spring crafted Irish Red, and Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage with braised cabbage, fondant potatoes, roasted baby carrots, pearl onions and a maple whole grain mustard glaze could be accompanied by Smoked Imperial Porter. The holiday’s special cocktail is dreamy Saint Patrick’s Martini composed of Crème De Menthe mousse, chocolate, Oreo crumbles and Baileys-infused whipped cream.
